Ms. Alyssa Powers

Ms. Alyssa Powers is from Franklin, MA and loves to bake, hike and read. She feels very fortunate to be part of a community that is so joyful in its dedication to forming children academically and spiritually through the classical approach. Ms. Powers looks forward to watching her students grow in confidence, excellence and virtue. Mr. John Kish says, "I believe that classical education is the solution to the deep cultural issues of our times, and is the best way for the Church to provide the world with what it really seeks – the Truth. Mr. Peter Dowdy grew up in western Massachusetts and is a recent graduate of Thomas Aquinas College in California. Peter says, "I am motivated to teach at St. Benedict Classical Academy because I want to inspire the students to see the magnificent operation of Christ and His saints. Ms. Marie-Sophie Brackstone

Ms. Marie-Sophie Brackstone is originally from Bermuda and is a recent graduate from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC, where she studied Philosophy and Music. At CUA, Ms. Brackstone was a student minister to freshmen girls, led a weekly service site to serve those experiencing homelessness in DC, founded and led the inaugural year of the Thomistic Institute chapter at CUA, worked in the Office of the President, and represented the University in many ways, including with her music. Mrs. Jane Bleakley

Mrs. Jane Bleakley loves “poring over new illustrated children’s books” and watching the Pats with her family. She says she “remembers vividly what it was like to make Art with adults when I was young. It felt great to know that playing with clay and color was something an adult found to be important.” Mrs. Bleakley hopes to provide that same space in which her own students can experience excitement about art.
