Our morning message from Headmaster Boren.
We were very blessed this morning to have Fr. Peter Stamm celebrate Mass for our community. We hope everyone was able to join us virtually and offer their intentions for the wellbeing of our families.
Our students continue to work on their Rembrandt’s “The Return of the Prodigal Son” art projects!
Older students were given the prompt, “Remember how the young son returns to his father. He is dirty, ragged and tired. His shoes are barely shoes, they are so worn out. Find the worst looking shoe in your house and draw it. Let us see shadows, stitching, soles, and shoestrings in detail. Use anything you have to draw with on any paper available.”
Our younger students were given the prompt, “You can seethe love the father has for his son in this painting. Your assignment is to create the most beautiful heart you can. You can use pencils, crayons, markers, legos, felt….anything you love to work with that can make a heart. You can draw, paint, color, or arrange objects in the shape of a heart.”
Students log into Google Classroom each morning to check their work for the day. The 2nd grade students are working on “Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe” with their weekly spelling list.
The Lehman family is set up and hard at work at the “Lehman campus” of SBCA!
During Ms. Cushen’s Zoom meeting this morning with her 3rd grade students, she was wearing her special St. Benedict socks!
